{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"cf26ee4772bc3ee1dbf9ee86","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/cf26ee4772bc3ee1dbf9ee86","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/cf26ee4772bc3ee1dbf9ee86","title":"Senior Network Engineer","description":"Everforth ECS is looking for a Senior Network Engineerto support work in its Quantico, VA office.\n\nPosition Overview\n\nThis is a hands-on position responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network, server, virtualization, storage, and supporting infrastructure.\n\nThe role has a strong emphasis on networking, switching, firewalls, DNS, and infrastructure troubleshooting and works closely with the technical team lead, development, database, and cybersecurity personnel.\n\nPrimary Responsibilities\n\nDesign, administer, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network, server, virtualization, storage, firewall, and supporting infrastructure.\nManage switching, routing, VLANs, network segmentation, DNS, firewall policies, NAT, VPNs, and related network services.\nSupport Windows Server infrastructure and associated enterprise services.\nDiagnose complex infrastructure and connectivity issues across physical, network, virtualization, operating system, and application layers.\nMaintain virtualization, storage, backup/recovery, logging, monitoring, and authentication infrastructure.\nPerform hands-on datacenter work including rack/stack, copper and fiber cabling, optics/transceivers, hardware replacement, firmware upgrades, and physical-layer troubleshooting.\nSupport infrastructure upgrades, lifecycle planning, cybersecurity requirements, and vulnerability remediation.\nMaintain and contribute to technical documentation, diagrams, SOPs, and annual system documentation reviews.\nRequirements:\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\n5+ years of relevant experience in network engineering, infrastructure engineering, or a related discipline.\nBachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent education, certifications, and experience.\nStrong enterprise networking knowledge including TCP/IP, subnetting, switching, routing, VLANs, ACLs, NAT, VPNs, DNS, and network segmentation.\nStrong understanding of physical network infrastructure including Ethernet, copper/fiber, optics/transceivers, and link troubleshooting.\nWorking knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, virtualization, enterprise storage, backup/recovery, and infrastructure monitoring.\nStrong cross-platform troubleshooting skills and the ability to independently research, diagnose, and resolve complex technical problems.\nWorking knowledge of cybersecurity hardening principles and secure enterprise environments.\nU.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.\nMust possess or obtain an applicable DoD 8140 certification, such as CompTIA Security+ CE, within 90 days of employment.\nAbility to work primarily on-site at MCB Quantico.\n\nReq Benefits:\nBenefits -
