We are currently looking for a 1st Shift R&D Operations Supervisor to join our team!\nThe R&D Operations Supervisor coordinates all operational activities in the R&D Center. They are responsible for scheduling and execution of all areas of production. They are also responsible to maintaining the proper paperwork to support our USDA grant of inspection.\nDuties and Responsibilities\nPrimary job duties and responsibilities include:\nSchedule weekly production to support new recipes\nOversee and report on product testing and shelf life\nSupport lab operations and be a resource as necessary\nMaintain a clean and organized test kitchen\nFacilitate weekly review meetings for products and projects\nMaintain the necessary inventory to support production\nPerform quarterly inventories\nOrder proteins and supplies to support operations\nMaintain the necessary paperwork and QA functions to support our USDA grant of inspection\nWork cross functionally with plant managers and schedulers to accomplish trials and tests\nSupport the sales team with products and recipes for our customers\nLead the R&D team members\nContinue to grow in meat technology\nManage projects to completion and keep impacted parties informed\nMaintain proper sanitation of equipment and facilities\nInterpersonal Skills\nReliable, comes to work every day and arrives to work on time\nComes prepared to contribute\nWorks to the best of their ability\nAccepts constructive feedback\nTeam player\nQualifications\nMinimum Qualifications required to successfully perform the job include:\nBachelors Degree in food science or relevant experience\nMust be detail oriented and have basic mathematics skills\nStrong written and oral communication skills\nStrong computer skills including Microsoft Office programs\nExcellent problem solving and organizational skills.\nAbility to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment\nFocus on long-term success / forward-thinking strategist\nAbility to speak effectively to customers or employees in the organization\nWorking conditions\nVarious conditions including office, warehouse, lab and production facilities. Working conditions will include extended periods in cold and wet meat processing environment requiring protective clothing. Position includes occasional travel to both the Telford and Lebanon plants.\nPhysical requirements\nMust be able to perform extensive walking and standing throughout the shift and on a daily basis.
