Together, we advance your career.\r\nThe Role Build and execute firmware code for SoC Init and Boot-media management, documentation of features, accounting for interactions with other features, understand and evaluate impact of hardware changes on the firmware.\r\nDevelop Unit Level Test cases for the Boot-media management features\r\nWork with SoC architecture team to understand detailed requirements and translate into code changes in IP.\r\nProvide Post-Si debug support during Si bring up.\r\nProvide guidance for feature verification to DV teams.\r\nEstimate the time required to write the new feature tests and any required changes to the test environment.\r\nDebug test failures to determine the root cause; work with RTL, DV, emulation and post-Si engineers to resolve issues.\r\nPerform coverage analysis and identify gaps in the verification of the code.\r\nThe Person You have a passion for modern, complex processor architecture, digital design, and verification in general.\r\nYou are a team player who has excellent communication skills\r\nYou have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and are willing to learn and ready to take on problems\r\nKey Qualifications Experienced with C, C++, Verilog, System Verilog\r\nProficient in IP level ASIC verification\r\nProficient in debugging firmware and RTL code using simulation tools.\r\nProficient in using UVM testbenches and working in Linux and Windows environments.\r\nSoC resets, clocking, Init flow and boot-media knowledge\r\nDeveloping UVM based verification frameworks and testbenches, processes and flows.\r\nAutomating workflows in a distributed compute environment.\r\nExposure to simulation profile, efficiency improvement, acceleration\r\nStrong background in the C/C++ language, preferably on Linux with exposure to Windows platform\r\nGood understanding and hands-on experience in the UVM concepts and SystemVerilog language\r\nGood working knowledge of SystemC and TLM with some related experience\r\nUnderstanding on emulation and post-Si debugs\r\nScripting language experience: Perl, Ruby, Makefile or Shell\r\nAcademic Credentials Bachelor\\'s or Master\\'s Degree in computer engineering/Electrical Engineering preferred\r\nLocation Folsom, CA\r\nThis role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.\r\nLI-MF2\r\nLI-HYBRID\r\nBenefits Benefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.
