NCIS is the Department of the Navy (DON) component with primary responsibility for criminal investigation, law enforcement (LE), counter-terrorism (CT), counterintelligence (CI), and cyber matters.\nThe Information Technology Directorate (ITD) supports the NCIS core mission areas to investigate and defeat criminal, terrorist, and foreign intelligence threats by planning for and providing services through appropriate use of the people, equipment, technology, and infrastructure resources of the United States Navy and Marine Corps.\n**This is contingent upon position availability in the August 2026 timeframe.**\nMEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT:\nAs a Deputy Program Manager, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the NCIS organization.\nResponsible for planning, management, and execution of IT projects.\nExecutes information technology projects by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.\nAbility to create and maintain project deliverables to include project charters, schedules, plans, dashboards, and requirements documents.\nAbility to brief senior leadership on a regular basis on status of projects. Responsible for coordinating with various technical and business personnel and coordinating resources and timetables.\nResponsible for understanding cybersecurity requirements related to the project.\nRecommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.\nProvides technical, administrative, and operational management to assigned projects or task(s), including contract and subcontractor management\nMust have skills in technical management, technical understanding, analyzing information, great communications skills, resource management, problem solving, understanding budgets, coordination, strategic planning, quality management and risk management\nInteracts with vendors, other agencies, and other client staff and stakeholders\nProvides quality assurance of project deliverables\nProvides recommendations to the PM for resource operations management and ensures compliance with all management policies, plans, and procedures\nManages and maintains personnel recall and database\nMaintains employee training certifications and resumes in the GDITs document repository\nCoordinate hiring, reassignments, and terminations with HR Business Partners and Recruiters as applicable\nOther duties as assigned by the Program Manager\nWHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED (Required):\nSecurity Clearance Level: Active TS/SCI security clearance\nRequired Experience:\n7 years IT project management experience leading both complex and small IT projects\nStrong DoD subcontracting experience.\nMust have skills in technical management, technical understanding, analyzing information, great communications skills, resource management, problem solving, understanding and developing budgets, coordination, strategic planning, quality management and risk management.\nSkills and abilities: Strong leadership and communication skills.
