Working with general direction, you will independently define solution approaches, lead design reviews, and ensure deliverables meet cost, schedule, and technical requirements. You will develop software using C++ and Java in a dynamic and collaborative Agile environment, supporting the full lifecycle of state-of-the-art systems deployed globally.\r\nResponsibilities\r\nDesign, develop, and integrate software components.\r\nLead peer reviews and collaborate with system engineers to validate solutions against requirements.\r\nCollaborate with internal and external customers, cross-functional teams, and senior technical leadership to resolve difficult technical issues.\r\nMentor junior engineers and lead small development teams.\r\nDeliver high-quality software on time and within budget.\r\nBasic Qualifications\r\nBachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering.\r\nMinimum five years of relevant professional engineering experience.\r\nProven track record designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining complex software systems.\r\nExperience using C/C++, Java, and/or Python.\r\nExperience with Linux/Unix operating environments.\r\nU.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance at the SECRET level.\r\nDesired Skills\r\nDeep experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, static analysis, and configuration management (GitLab, Jenkins, Make/CMake).\r\nStrong background in Agile Scrum; experience serving as Scrum Master or Product Owner (certification preferred).\r\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\r\nExperience in Model-Based Engineering and related tools.\r\nSecurity Clearance Statement\r\nThe purpose of this position requires a government security clearance. The employee must be a U.S. citizen.\r\nWork Schedules & Remote Work\r\nThe position offers part-time remote telework, with a schedule that will include a mixture of remote and on-site work at a Lockheed Martin facility. The preferred schedule is 4 × 10-hour days with three days off per week.\r\nBenefits\r\nBenefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, employee assistance program, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
