The Career Coordinator is an onsite full-time non-exempt position who reports to the Program Director.\nThis position operates in a highly scheduled environment but may require longer hours and occasional weekend work and minimal travel as job duties demand. The Career Coordinator position involves a moderate physical demand.\nAll the Responsibilities We’ll Trust You With:\nAssist students in assessing an inventory of related employment skills and interests\nDevelop student pre-employment skills and resources within the career portfolio\nSupport student on-the-job experiences\nManage and grow relationships between CIP and employers\nMaintain vocational and career-building curriculum and assist in student career exploration\nTeach vocational/career-building and pre-vocational classes as well as provide career counseling in areas such as interview preparation, job search, correspondence, etc.\nLocate potential internship, community service, and volunteering opportunities for students\nCollaborate with sponsor employers to arrange for student placements\nTrack student engagement (e.g., hours) in community service involvement as well as vocational activities\nCoordinate with student internship site supervision, as needed\nSupervise career coaches\nReport out student career progress to the rest of the direct support team in Team Review\nOther Duties as Assigned\nQualities You Possess:\nThe Career Coordinator will possess exceptional communication skills, precise attention to detail, superior organization and prioritization skills and self-motivation in managing tasks to completion. They will have genuine empathy and awareness of the needs and sensitivities of prospective families, students, and staff.\nYour Areas of Knowledge and Expertise:\nBachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in Psychology, Social Work, Education, or a related field is required.
