As part of our team, you will help shape world-class hospitality, resort, and mixed-use destinations, translating client aspirations into compelling architectural experiences while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across the globe.About the roleThe Project Designer / Project Design Architect is at the forefront of shaping design narratives for luxury hospitality and destination projects.This role combines creative vision with technical understanding, balancing bold design thinking with practical execution. You will contribute to projects from concept through implementation, developing innovative architectural solutions that respond to client goals, site context, operational requirements, and brand aspirations.Working closely with Design Directors, Project Managers, consultants, and project teams, you will help deliver thoughtful, high-quality design solutions while contributing to a collaborative and design-driven studio culture.What you'll doDevelop architectural concepts and design solutions for hospitality, resort, and mixed-use projects from early visioning through project deliveryContribute to all phases of the design process, including conceptual design, spatial planning, presentations, detailed design, and construction documentationTranslate client briefs, operational requirements, and brand narratives into compelling architectural experiencesCreate drawings, models, renderings, and visual presentations that clearly communicate design intentParticipate in client workshops, meetings, and presentations, helping guide design discussions and stakeholder engagementCollaborate with Project Managers, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure design continuity throughout project phasesCoordinate with technical teams to integrate design intent into practical, buildable solutionsSupport technical detailing, consultant coordination, and documentation effortsReview drawings, shop drawings, and project deliverables to ensure quality and alignment with design objectivesParticipate in site visits and construction administration activities to maintain design integrity during implementationMentor and support junior designers while contributing to a collaborative studio environmentConduct research on design trends, hospitality experiences, sustainability, materials, and emerging technologies to elevate project outcomesContribute to proposal development, design competitions, and business development initiatives where appropriateWho we're looking forWe're seeking a creative and collaborative designer who combines strong conceptual thinking with technical understanding and a passion for hospitality design.You are:Equipped with 9–11 years of professional architectural experience, ideally focused on hospitality, resort, and destination designHolding a Bachelor's or Master's degree in ArchitectureA licensed or registered architect (AIA, RIBA, ARB, or equivalent preferred)Experienced in hospitality programming, guest experience planning, and luxury destination designSkilled in visual storytelling and the communication of design conceptsProficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and other visualization toolsExperienced with BIM workflows and design coordination; Grasshopper and computational design experience are a plusComfortable presenting design ideas to clients, consultants, and project teamsKnowledgeable in technical detailing, construction documentation, consultant coordination, and project deliveryFamiliar with sustainable design principles, materials, and construction systemsCollaborative, adaptable, and comfortable working across diverse cultures, teams, and project locationsA strong communicator who can balance creativity, technical rigor, and client expectationsPassionate about design excellence, innovation, and creating memorable placesWhy OBMIYou'll join a globally recognized practice that values creativity, technical excellence, collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
