If you are excited about a role but don't meet every bullet point, we encourage you to apply and join us to create the extraordinary.\n\nJob Summary\n\nTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Materials Lead located in Austin, TX.\n\nReporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Materials Lead is responsible for leading the work of others and participates in work related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, and delivering a variety of materials, equipment and supplies. Works with independence in carrying out duties with limited supervision.\n\nE Shift: 6:00am-6:00pm (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday every other Wednesday)\n\nWhat a typical day looks like:\n\nCoordinates the activities of subordinates.\n\nReviews difficult or complex work procedures to resolve questions presented by workers.\n\nEnsures accurate, up-to-date records of inventory in stockroom and daily operations; completes necessary forms or paperwork for documentation.\n\nDesigns stockroom layout and oversees rearranging process.\n\nOversees and participates in counting, weighing and measuring incoming or outgoing items to compare identifying information and verify against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records.\n\nExamines incoming shipments for damage or shortages and corresponds with shipper to rectify; fills out appropriate forms or documents.\n\nFills orders and issues materials and supplies per requests; documents transactions, prepares requisitions and computes costs; keeps records of storeroom inventory.\n\nOversees and participates in ordering or purchasing a variety of stock items such as recommending changes to standard items or stock levels and ordering items using independent judgment within established limits.\n\nDetermines method of shipment based on knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates; packages, weighs and marks container for shipment; prepares necessary forms such as bills of lading.\n\nThe experience we’re looking to add to our team:\n\nTypically requires a minimum of 3 years of materials, warehouse, inventory, shipping/receiving, or logistics experience.\n\nPrevious experience as a Team Lead, Lead Material Handler, Warehouse Lead, Work Lead, or similar lead role is strongly preferred.\n\nComfortable using computers and warehouse systems, including Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.\n\nMust possess a valid driver's license.\n\nExperience maintaining inventory accuracy, processing shipments, and supporting daily warehouse operations.\n\nUse of the following tools may be required: forklifts, electronic scales, pallet jacks, measuring tools, and alignment tools.\n\nUse of the following tools may be required: MS Office Skills: typing, telephones, office software to include, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation package and database systems.\n\nWarehouse skills: forklift, electronic scales, pallet jack, measuring tools, and alignment tools.\n\nRequired good clerical and interpersonal skills.\n\nAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and customers.\n\nAbility to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.\n\nAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.\n\nAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.\n\nWhat you'll receive for the great work you provide:\n\nFull range of medical, dental, and vision plans\nLife Insurance\nShort-term and Long-term Disability\nMatching 401(k) Contributions\nVacation and Paid Sick Time\nTuition Reimbursement\n\nJob Category\nGlobal Procurement & Supply Chain\n\nIs Sponsorship Available?\n\nNo\n\nRequired Skills: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Shipping, Warehouse Management System (WMS)\n\nOptional Skills: Spreadsheets\n\nFlex is an Equal Opportunity Employer and employment selection decisions are based on merit, qualifications, and abilities.
