{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"ceda1791b1ceadaea02b4f30","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/ceda1791b1ceadaea02b4f30","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/ceda1791b1ceadaea02b4f30","title":"Director Engineering","description":"City/State:\nBronx, New York\nGrant Funded:\nNo\nDepartment:\nFAC - ENG East Campuses\nWork Shift:\nDay\nWork Days:\nMON-FRI\nScheduled Hours:\n8 AM-4:30 PM\nScheduled Daily Hours:\n7.5 HOURS\nPay Range:\n$148,000.00-$185,000.00\n\nJob Summary\n\nThis position will be responsible for the effective and efficient operation of the Engineering and Maintenance services of Montefiore's Bronx East locations This position will ensure prompt and exceptional leadership to the facilities maintenance and plant operation service delivery for all campus constituents.\n\nResponsibilities\nInitiate and manage formal Facilities coordination meetings and project kick-off meetings with design and Construction, Energy sustainability, Environmental Health and Safety, IT, Security, Real Estate and Telecom.\nCoordinate work with the support department as per scope to maintain operations and within compliance with TJC, NYS DOH, NYC DOB.\nCommunicates with physicians, nursing department leaders, and senior administrators to maintain coordination with other Montefiore Health programs.\nProvide oversight and leadership to ensure the facilities are in compliance with all aspects of The Joint Commission's Environment of Care and Life Safety regulations including the Utility Management program.\nConduct mock surveys to identify gaps in compliance and areas for improvement.\nContinually assess all services and areas and ensure improvements are made to maintain all regulatory standards, including those set by CMS, DOH, DOB, FDNY, EPA and others.\nIn collaboration with internal and external constituents, plan and supervise installation and modifications to the physical plant ensuring changes are made within code requirements and is completed timely and within planned scope.\nManaging and maintaining life safety equipment in conjunction with Environmental Health and Safety.\nTest and diagnose instruments and equipment. Maintain the life safety plans and participate in the planning of the fire risk assessments and fire safety audits.\nOversight of departmental budgets, CMS work order management system and appropriate distribution of resources for the continued maintenance and operations of campus facilities and infrastructure.\nManage the PM schedules using the CMS work order system.\nQualifications\nBachelor's Degree (Masters preferred)\n10 years of higher education, hospital or research setting with increasing responsibilities\nMinimum 7 years' experience in a supervisor/managerial role\nMinimum of 5 years' experience in a power plant or steam plant\nProfessional Engineer License (Preferred)\nFDNY CAT, Q01 Refrigeration Engineer (Preferred).\nMontefiore Medical Center is an equal employment opportunity employer.
