The Credit Manager performs a wide variety of job functions at the direction of the General Manager, assisting and coordinating store activities to ensure safe, professional and profitable operations. The Credit Manager is accountable for meeting company objectives; maintain company quality standards and adhering to company policies.Principal AccountabilitiesAcquire and Maintain CustomersAct as a customer liaison who resells the benefits of timely rental/lease agreement renewal paymentsAssist in managing store personnel; may direct activities of one or more employeesCompliance with all applicable federal, state and local statutesDecipher, prepare and review store reportsDocument all customer commitmentsEnsure company standards for renewals, delinquencies and store collections are satisfiedFill out paperwork for submission to corporate supportFollow monthly marketing plans and maintain internal quality control standardsManage customer accountsManaging inventory and cash assetsPrepare daily work schedules, delivery schedules, assign tasks, enforce company policyAll other duties deemed necessary for effective store managementQualificationsRequirements for Credit ManagerEffective organizational skillsEstablished collection skillsGood communication skillsHandle multiple priorities simultaneouslyLearn and become proficient in POS systemMaintain professional appearanceMust be able to read, write and communicate effectively in person and over the phone with employees and customersNegotiate and resolve conflictPlan, organize, delegate, coordinate and follow up various tasks and assignmentsRecognize and solve problemsMust have proficient navigational skills with a satisfactory driving record and meet insurability requirementsRegular and consistent attendance, including nights and weekends as business dictatesEducation and ExperienceTwo years' experience with Rent-to-Own, retail or other business emphasizing customer service, account management, sales and merchandising.General Physical RequirementsPosition routinely requires lifting, loading, moving, and using a dolly for merchandise 50-300 poundsStooping, bending, pulling, climbing, reaching and grabbing as requiredMust be able to traverse multiple flights of stairs while carrying furniture, appliance, and electronicsProlonged driving and standingMust be able to work in and outdoors in a variety of climates and weather conditions.
