Therefore, they are seeking a senior communications leader to drive strategy and execution across North America and Global R&D. This role will serve as the primary communications partner to Commercial Operations and R&D leaders, overseeing media engagement, issues & crisis management, and internal communications across a ~$1B market.The successful candidate will bring deep experience in complex, regulated environments, acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership while delivering measurable results through innovative, integrated communications programmes.Key Responsibilities: Own the communications strategy for CSL Seqirus across North America — from media engagement and thought leadership to employee communications and pandemic-related activity. Serve as the strategic communications partner to the VP of North America Commercial Operations and the Global Head of R&D — a seat at the table on annual planning, risk management, and key business decisions. Lead issues and crisis communications, proactively identifying reputational risks and developing robust mitigation frameworks that protect and strengthen our brand. Build and nurture relationships with top-tier health journalists, federal institutions, professional societies, and advocacy organizations. Drive global R&D communications, including milestone planning and coordination with the broader CSL Seqirus CEA team. Manage agency partners and ensure seamless integration across a matrixed global organization.Key Requirements:10+ years of experience in product, corporate, or media communications Experience in pharma, biotech, or a similarly regulated environment (preferred) Press secretary or spokesperson experience (highly desirable) 7+ years of hands-on media and issues management Proven success in a highly matrixed, global organization Expert command of digital communications Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, PR, Journalism, or related field; MBA or Master's in Communications is a plus
