In addition, this individual will be responsible for opening and/or closing procedures of the club.\n\nJOB DUTIES:\n\nPrepare new hire training schedules using Cliffs Club Training Plan for all new employees.\nIncorporate daily on-going training for service staff in all sequence of service.\nMentor and coach servers in the daily responsibilities.\nWork hands-on with staff to ensure standard procedures are accomplished.\nTakes food and beverage orders from guests and enters orders in our point-of-sale system.\nAccurately describes menu items, specials, drinks, and wines for guest satisfaction.\nInteracts with the bartender, properly setting up glasses for drinks.\nAssists in setting dining room station.\nMaintaining a safe and sanitary work environment.\nInteracts with co-workers in tandem, communicating clearly and precisely.\nAccommodates any special requests that the kitchen is able to deliver for the guest.\nUp-sells established menu items or specials to maximize food and beverage revenues.\nAssist in the scheduling of service associates and plan room set-ups based upon anticipated reservations and event needs.\nAssure that all safety, accident and emergency policies and procedures are in place and consistently followed.\nInspect dining room to ensure proper maintenance, cleanliness, and safety.\nAssure the correct appearance, cleanliness, and safety of all dining areas, equipment and fixtures. Check the maintenance of all equipment and reports deficiencies and maintenance concerns.\nInspect service associates to ensure that they are in proper and clean uniforms at all times (name tags, wine keys, and Cliffs pens).\nAssure that all side work is accomplished and that all cleaning of equipment and storage areas is completed according to schedule.\nEnforce established rules, regulations and policies.\nClose the day from the Point of Sale system, including cash, credit card balances, E-mailing closing reports and sending daily paperwork to Administration.\nAssure that the dining room and other Club Areas are secure at the end of the business day.\nServes menu items to guests in a prompt and courteous manner and according to established service standards.Notes timing of meal progression and notifies kitchen staff.\nPerforms pre-and post-shift side work; stock service station, make coffee, etc.\nSettles customer payments; receives change from cashier and returns change promptly to guest.\nMay assist Host or Hostess with greeting/seating guests and filling glasses.\nKnows the menu items and the accompaniments for them, along with the daily specials.\nAnswers questions about our food, beverages and other restaurant functions and services.\nMonitors and observes guests' dining experience. Ensures guests are satisfied with the food and service. Responds promptly and courteously to any requests.\nRemoves used tableware between courses and provides tableware for the next course.\nAssists runner as needed with food delivery, especially with large parties and during peak periods.\nMaintains the tidiness of the table throughout the meal.
