Part-time instructors will primarily support afternoon, evening, and weekend programs. Full-time instructors may also assist with curriculum preparation, school partnerships, camps, trial classes, parent communication, facility operations, and special events.\nThis is not a traditional classroom teaching position. Our instructors help children develop and complete projects based on their own ideas and imagination. The instructor’s role is to encourage creativity, provide structure, teach technical and communication skills, and help students build confidence through exploration and hands-on learning.\nCompensation\nPart-time positions: $27–$32 per hour.\nFinal compensation will be based on education, teaching experience, classroom-management ability, technical skills, curriculum-development experience, and availability.\nPaid instructor training and opportunities for professional development may be provided.\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree completed or in progress in education, child development, engineering, STEM, arts, communications, animation, or a related field.\nAt least one year of experience working with children between the ages of 6 and 13.\nAbility to manage groups of approximately 8–12 students.\nStrong communication, organization, and classroom-management skills.\nPatient, encouraging, dependable, and comfortable working with children who have different learning styles and abilities.\nAbility to explain concepts in an age-appropriate, clear, and engaging manner.\nComfortable learning and teaching hands-on building, basic writing, filmmaking, animation, or maker-based learning.\nFamiliarity with tablets, cameras, video-editing applications, and classroom technology.\nExperience supporting children with different abilities, personalities, and learning needs.\nExperience creating or adapting curriculum and lesson plans.\nCPR and First Aid certification.\nNorth Carolina teaching license is valued but not required.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead Robrik Creator Journey™ classes and other creative-learning programs.\nGuide students through building, engineering, robotics, storytelling, creative writing, and learning environment.\nEstablish clear classroom expectations and manage student behavior professionally.\nObserve each child’s interests, participation, progress, strengths, and support trial classes, camps, birthday programs, Creative Build Nights™, school programs, field trips, and community events.\nSafely maintain LEGO® materials, robotics equipment, tablets, cameras, and other classroom supplies.\nAssist with classroom setup, cleanup, inventory organization, and material preparation.\nParticipate in instructor training, curriculum reviews, staff meetings, and program instructors may also be responsible for:\nAssisting with lesson planning, curriculum development, and program improvement.\nPreparing instructional materials for upcoming classes, camps, and school programs.\nSupporting school partnerships, community programs, field trips, and outreach activities.\nTraining, mentoring, and supporting part-time instructors and classroom assistants.\nMaintaining student progress records and other program documentation.\nAssisting with parent orientations, trial classes, tours, and enrollment conversations.\nSupporting birthday parties, Creative Build Nights™, special events, and community programs.\nHelping maintain an organized, welcoming, safe, and creative studio environment.\nAssisting with classroom scheduling, equipment management, material inventory, and facility readiness.\nSupporting other operational needs based on program enrollment and business requirements.\nScheduling and Availability\nPart-time opportunities are available.\nCandidates must have reliable and consistent availability based on their agreed work schedule.\nRegular program hours may include weekday afternoons and evenings, as well as Saturdays and Sundays.\nOccasional availability may be required for school-break camps, summer camps, community programs, birthday parties, staff training, field trips, and special events.\nPart-time schedules may
