Interfaces with sales, engineering Customers, and Suppliers.\n\nProvides input to the contract review process.\n\nProvides diagnostic research; analyzes data, identifies trends, and suggests corrective and preventive actions.\n\nSystematically analyzes complex process problems and develops/evaluates alternative solutions.\n\nActs as Lead Internal Auditor and/or Lead Auditor for supplier audits.\n\nActs as technical interface between design engineering, mechanical engineering, purchasing agent and the supplier.\n\nMay prepare budgets. Integrates quality and statistical tools with lean manufacturing methodologies.\n\nEffectively presents information to all levels of the company in electronic, oral, and/or written form.\n\nMay have supervisory responsibility.\n\nQualifications Summary\n\nBS degree in a technical discipline with 5 years of quality-related experience.\n\nAbility to clearly communicate with tact and sensitivity; ability to write succinctly; ability to make presentations and respond to sensitive inquiries.\n\nAbility to apply advanced statistical techniques.\n\nAbility to read drawings, blueprints and schematics.\n\nAbility to organize and prioritize.\n\nLean manufacturing experience.\n\nStrong to expert user of Microsoft Office tools.\n\nAbility to work independently and with minimal day-to-day direction.\n\nAbility to manage via influence rather than title.\n\nAbility to facilitate meetings and manage interactions across diverse groups, e.g. engineers, sales, finance, marketing.\n\nASQ Certified Quality Auditor, Certified Quality Engineer, and ASQ Certified Green Belt highly desirable\n\nPhysical Demands\nDescribed here are characteristics representative of those that must be met by an incumbent to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
