Come grow with us!Electrical Automation SpecialistCompany Name/Subsidiary: PBI-Gordon CorporationReports to: Maintenance ManagerPosition SummaryWe're looking for a hands-on Electrical & Controls Maintenance Technician to support and troubleshoot automated manufacturing equipment in a production environment. This role is focused on industrial electrical troubleshooting, equipment reliability, and supporting automation systems used throughout the plant.This is a hands-on production support role focused on troubleshooting and equipment reliability. We're looking for someone comfortable working directly on production equipment, solving problems in real time, and partnering closely with operations and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and improve overall equipment performance.Compensation & BenefitsEmployee Ownership (ESOP): Company-funded retirement contribution of approximately 18% of pay, plus 401(k) Competitive base salary with performance-based bonus opportunity Comprehensive benefits package: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, FSA, and Pet Insurance Generous paid time off, paid holidays, and parental leave Fitness and tuition reimbursement programs Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot and repair industrial electrical systems and production equipmentSupport PLC-controlled equipment and automated manufacturing systemsAssist in troubleshooting electrical, controls, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and process-related issues.Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, ladder logic, and technical drawingsSupport VFDs, HMIs, motors, sensors, relays, and other control devicesPerform preventative maintenance and reliability-focused troubleshootingPartner with operations and maintenance teams during downtime events, startups, and equipment recovery situationsAssist with automation improvements and continuous improvement initiativesMaintain safe work practices including LOTO procedures and electrical safety standardsSupport equipment reliability and help reduce repeat equipment failuresMaintain clean and organized work areas while complying with plant safety requirementsRequired Qualifications5+ years of industrial maintenance, industrial electrical, or manufacturing troubleshooting experienceStrong industrial electrical troubleshooting skills within a manufacturing environmentExperience reading electrical schematics and troubleshooting control circuitsExperience working on production equipment in a live manufacturing environmentStrong troubleshooting mindset with the ability to diagnose issues methodically and efficientlyComfortable working independently and responding to production downtime situationsStrong communication and teamwork skillsAbility to safely lift 55+ lbs and access all areas of the plant, including ladders and elevated platformsPreferred QualificationsJourneyman electrician license or equivalent industrial electrical experienceExperience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipmentAllen Bradley / Rockwell experience including Studio 5000, RSLogix, and FactoryTalkExperience with HMIs, VFDs, and industrial networkingExperience supporting automated manufacturing systemsPneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting experienceExperience working within a team-based maintenance environmentWhat Success Looks LikeResponds calmly and effectively during downtime situationsTroubleshoots problems safely and methodicallyWorks collaboratively with operators, maintenance, and production teamsHelps improve equipment reliability and reduce repeat failuresContinues building automation and controls knowledge over timeDemonstrates strong ownership mindset and urgency in supporting plant operationsWork Environment & CulturePBI-Gordon Companies offers a collaborative, employee-owned environment where accountability, partnership, and continuous improvement are valued.
