Grow Here.\"\n\nPOSITION SUMMARY\n\nWe are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Operator to join our Grain Operations team.\n\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nResponsible for weighing trucks as they arrive at location.\nObtains grain samples using necessary equipment and grades grain accordingly.\nCommunicates the grain and grade to the grain attendants on each load. Communicates and works closely with the Location Manager to ensure day-to-day grain activities run efficiently.\nMaintains the housekeeping of the facility including: elevator, buildings, grounds, etc.\nCommunicates daily with grain supervisor or attendants to understand all grain strategies and to get daily instruction that will help complete the daily tasks.\nPartners with Grain Accounting for accurate and efficient accounting of grain. Contacts customers regularly informing them of dumping hours, potential dumping delays, and market opportunities.\n Assists customers with marketing possibilities, ultimately working towards purchasing that producer's grain.\nStays informed of current company programs and other information necessary to handle grain accurately and efficiently.\nProvides daily current market prices to customers and other pertinent market information.\nKeeps grain room, scale area, scale, and grading equipment clean and in optimum working condition.\nDepending on location, this position may also be responsible to make grain contacts and grain settlements.\nUnderstanding and adhering to all safety policies and procedures and maintaining a safe and clean work environment, including compliance with US DOT drug and alcohol testing requirements, the Agtegra Drug Free Workplace Policy, OSHA regulations, and the Agtegra Vehicle Policy and Fleet Safety Program.\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS\n\nMust be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.\nMust be 18 years or older.\nEnglish Proficiency.\nAbility to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation.\nAbility to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including a respirator.\nAbility to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)\nAbility to work in confined spaces.\nAbility to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts.\n\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\n\nExperience in agriculture\n\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\n\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
