This is a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves role where you will lead the client's accounting and finance operations, partner with our CFO or senior leadership, and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting during the assignment. Consultants operate under contract with our firm, not as candidates for client employment.\r\nPrimary Responsibilities\r\nLead month, quarter, and year-end close cycles\r\nManage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable\r\nOversee GL reconciliation and preparation of financial statements\r\nSupport budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring\r\nEnsure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and audit readiness\r\nAssist in annual audits and tax filings\r\nRecommend improvements to accounting systems, processes, and procedures\r\nMentor accounting staff, and ensure smooth hand-off to permanent team\r\nPerform other accounting duties as assigned by CFO or senior leadership\r\nDocument processes and prepare for smooth hand-off to permanent finance leadership\r\nStrong written and verbal business acumen\r\nStrategic thinking and problem-solving skills\r\nDeep understanding of GAAP, GL oversight, and internal controls\r\nStrong attention to detail and organization\r\nTech-savvy with proficiency in QuickBooks, NetSuite, Bill.com, Expensify, and similar\r\nAbility to work independently and collaborativelyClear and concise communication skills\r\nRequired Education & Experience\r\nBachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting (required)\r\n5–10+ years of experience in accounting leadership roles\r\nExperience managing full accounting operations, close cycles, and audits\r\nColorado residents will be considered first\r\nContract (1099) status or W2 Hourly\r\nAssignment typically 3–9 months\r\nCompensation based on experience, typical pay range is $70-$90/hr\r\nBenefits disclosure: In addition to hourly compensation, this position is eligible for the following: paid time off in accordance with Syncopated Synergy's PTO policy, paid company holidays, a benefits stipend to be applied toward the employee's choice of benefits, and participation in the Colorado FAMLI program.
