This position manages case notification packets, maintains regular contact with HIV-positive service members to ensure timely medical documentation, conducts annual case audits in compliance with applicable Army regulations, and provides monthly reporting to senior medical leadership.This role handles some of the most sensitive protected health information in the command. The ideal candidate will hold a current required certification prior to hire, demonstrate an absolute commitment to confidentiality, and possess the organizational discipline to track and escalate time-sensitive documentation across a distributed population of service members. Telework is not authorized.Key Responsibilities Create HIV case notification packets in the applicable disease detection system within 2 business days of receipt of a new caseMaintain contact with HIV-positive service members on an initial and annual basis to ensure all supporting medical documentation is provided in a timely mannerRequest required annual medical evaluation documentation from service members with a minimum of 5 calendar days advance notice; follow up within 2 business days of a missed deadline; escalate non-compliance to the service member's unit commandConduct annual case audits in accordance with applicable Army regulations and directivesMaintain a real-time case status tracker; provide to senior medical leadership and the government point of contact monthlyProvide a summary report of annual case audit results to senior medical leadership and the government point of contact within 5 business days of completionRequired QualificationsU.S. CitizenCurrent AFTIS Center for Disease Detection Training conducted in accordance with applicable Army regulations and directives — this is a disqualifying minimum requirement; must be held and current upon assignmentAbility to obtain and maintain a NACI / Public Trust Security ClearanceAbility to obtain and maintain a DoD Common Access Card (CAC)Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate case files, track suspenses, and escalate issues appropriatelyProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook/Exchange, Teams, SharePointDemonstrated ability to plan, organize, meet deadlines, and control sensitive and confidential informationPreferred QualificationsPrior military service or direct experience supporting the National Guard or Army ReserveCurrently active DoD Common Access Card (CAC) and/or existing favorable security clearance — candidates holding an active Secret clearance or higher fully meet and exceed the minimum requirementExperience supporting DoD medical program administration in a military or government contracting environmentFamiliarity with multiple DoD medical database and administrative systemsPrior experience managing confidential medical case files in a DoD or military environmentFamiliarity with Army HIV/AIDS program administration regulations and compliance requirementsExperience conducting formal case audits in a government or military healthcare administrative roleRequired CertificationsAFTIS Center for Disease Detection Training
