We are looking to add a Counselor to our growing team!The Counselor position at Evolve Addiction Treatment Center is a foundational role, focused on providing compassionate and effective counseling support to individuals facing mental health and emotional challenges while in a substance abuse recovery program. The primary goal of this role is to facilitate client well-being through assessment, individualized treatment planning, and ongoing therapeutic interventions. Counselors in this role work closely with clients to identify their needs, develop coping strategies, and promote personal growth and recovery. This position requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and adherence to ethical and professional standards. Ultimately, this position contributes to improving the quality of life for clients by connecting them to resources and fostering a supportive and safe environment for healing and development.Schedule RequirementsTuesday - Saturday, 8:00AM - 4:30PMResponsibilitiesConduct initial client assessments and provide case managementDevelop and implement individualized counseling plans based on client goals and clinical best practicesProvide group educational sessions to support clients in managing substance abuse and emotional, behavioral, and psychological issuesMaintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with legal and organizational standardsCollaborate and communicate with healthcare professionals and referrals to coordinate care and support servicesMonitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve desired outcomesManage discharge planning for clientsParticipate in ongoing professional development and supervision to enhance counseling skills and knowledge Minimum QualificationsHigh school graduate or GED recipientCertified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS)At least one (1) year experience in the addiction recovery process with at least six (6) months working in the fieldStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professional integrityComputer literacy and basic skills in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related disciplineExperience or internship in a clinical or counseling settingBasic knowledge of counseling theories, techniques, and ethical standardsLicensed Alcohol and Drug Addiction Counselor (LADAC) or enrolled in programExperience working with diverse populations and in multidisciplinary teamsTraining in crisis intervention and trauma-informed careFamiliarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems We're officially a Great Place To Work!
