Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, this role will act as the financial leader on-site, driving strong financial controls, accurate reporting, and operational partnership across the plant. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who thrives in a high-accountability environment and is passionate about cost visibility, inventory accuracy, and continuous financial improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn and manage the plant general ledger ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policiesEstablish and maintain strong internal controls, including segregation of duties and approval workflowsOversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and payroll processes ensuring accuracy and timelinessLead cost accounting activities including standard costing, BOMs, labor, and overhead allocationAnalyze manufacturing variances (material, labor, overhead, scrap, yield) and partner with operations to drive improvementsManage inventory valuation and lead cycle counts and physical inventory processesPrepare monthly financial statements, reconciliations, and variance analysisAct as the primary contact for external auditors and ensure audit readinessTrack capital expenditures and support depreciation and capitalization processesDrive system improvements, reporting enhancements, and ERP utilizationProvide financial insights to corporate finance, plant leadership, and PE stakeholdersPromote financial discipline and accountability across the siteQualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/CMA preferred)5+ years of manufacturing accounting experience (food or process manufacturing preferred)Strong experience with cost accounting, inventory, AP, AR, and payrollProven leadership and team management experienceExperience supporting external audits in a manufacturing environmentERP system experience (NetSuite, SAP, Dynamics, Oracle, Infor, etc.)How To ApplyContact: Mark Watton215 999-6430 or mark@axionrecruitment.comJob reference number: 2672If you would like to find out more, simply click apply.Relevant Job Title: Accounting Manager, Plant Accountant, Cost Accounting Manager, Finance Manager, Manufacturing AccountantAll applicants must live in the USA and be eligible to work and live in the USA.
