Salary:
At EUSSD, compensation is determined through a comprehensive approach that considers candidate qualifications, role responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational needs. Pay may vary by location; for this position, the annual base salary target range is $134,500.00–$155,000, with potential eligibility for bonuses or commission depending on the role.
Summary:
Manage overall lab operations and is responsible for the effective and successful management of labor, productivity, quality control, and safety measures. The operational procedure, systems, and principles in the areas of information flow and management, business processes, enhanced management reporting, and look for opportunities to expand systems and ensure safe and efficient operations.
Primary Responsibilities:
Work closely with GM and management team to set and/or implement policies, procedures and systems and to follow through with implementation
Partner with cross-functional teams to improve proprietary tools and systems
Ensure that operational activities remain on time and within budget
Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations
Work closely with legal and safety departments to ensure that activities remain compliant
Maintain constant communication with managers, staff, and vendors to ensure proper operations of the lab
Lead, motivate, and support a large team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment, including career development plans for direct reports and problem resolution
Oversee materials and inventory at the lab
Minimum Qualifications:
5 or more years of proven success in an operations management role
This position is located at a lab location and able to work onsite daily
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in operations management, business administration, technical management, information systems, engineering, finance/accounting, or related fields
Knowledge and Skills:
Excellent ability to address operational concerns and issues, monitoring overall customer satisfaction
Understanding of operational procedures and policies development and implementation
Excellent interpersonal communication and organizing skills to coordinate project activities
Knowledge of business productivity software and an aptitude for learning new applications
Proficiency in conflict management and business negotiation processes
Good decision-making skills and response to high-pressure situations
Ability to analyze training needs/requirements
Ability to communicate with others effectively
Ability to work with details and time-sensitive issues
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel; crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
