You will be someone excited by challenges and proactive in problem-solving.\nWhat will you be doing?\nDevelop and maintain monitoring and deployment systems (Systems and Network)\nTriage and respond to issues\nPrepare and execute changes to the Linux environment\nMaintain and deploy servers and workstations\nProjects will be completed both independently and as a part of a team, when necessary\nThis is an in-office position, with occasional onsite work at several colocation facilities in Chicago, Aurora, and New Jersey\nInfrequent evening/weekend work to allow for change execution outside of trading hours\nOther opportunities as assigned\nSkills and Experience:\n3+ years of experience as a System Administrator, Linux Administrator, or similar\nThorough understanding of Linux (kernel, modules, filesystems) with special emphasis on the network stack, especially multicast, and OpenOnload\nExperience working with Linux and standard tools (bash, grep, sed, awk) and scripting languages (Python, Perl, bash)\nUnderstanding of Linux concepts (kernel, modules, memory allocation, filesystems)\nFamiliarity with common server technologies (IPMI, SNMP), or software (Nagios, Ansible, dnf/rpm, git)\nExperience troubleshooting complex performance issues\nAbility to lift and move heavy equipment (40-50 lb regularly)\nAnnual base salary ranges from $125,000 to $200,000, and is influenced by a number of factors, including qualifications and experience. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, of which can be a significant portion of total compensation.
