This is a remote, hands-on technical leadership role for someone who can lead architecture, mentor developers, define technical standards, and still contribute directly to full-stack engineering.\nWhat You Will Do:\nLead and mentor full-stack development teams supporting cloud modernization, product development, and solution architecture initiatives.\nProvide hands-on full-stack engineering and architectural oversight for secure, scalable, distributed applications built on AWS.\nDesign and implement frontend and backend services using Python, JavaScript, Django, Vue.js, REST APIs, microservices, containers, and AWS-native services.\nCollaborate with clients, solution architects, product owners, UX designers, business analysts, platform engineers, and development teams to deliver resilient software products that meet functional and non-functional requirements.\nDefine application architecture standards, development best practices, design patterns, and technical roadmaps across complex modernization projects.\nEnsure solutions align with AWS Well-Architected Framework principles, modern CI/CD practices, API-first design, event-driven architecture, and cloud-native engineering standards.\nLead technical decision-making, evaluate design tradeoffs, provide escalation support, and guide implementation across multiple concurrent initiatives.\nSupport proof-of-concept development, technical demonstrations, proposal efforts, RFP responses, and technical thought leadership.\nWhat You Will Need:\nAbility to obtain a public trust clearance.\nNo sponsorship available.\nMinimum of 8 years of relevant full-stack application development experience, including at least 4 years in technical leadership, architecture, or team lead roles.\nBachelor’s degree required, or 12 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.\nStrong hands-on experience with Python and JavaScript.\nExperience leading or mentoring teams of 5 or more developers.\nExperience building frontend and backend services for cloud-native software products.\nDjango experience preferred; Flask, FastAPI, Falcon, or SQLAlchemy may be considered as alternatives.\nVue.js experience preferred; React, Svelte, or Angular 1.6+ may be considered as alternatives.\nExperience with microservices architecture, REST API design, Docker or Kubernetes, serverless computing, and CI/CD for enterprise applications.\nFamiliarity with AWS SAM and design patterns such as MVC, Circuit Breaker, and Event-Driven Architecture.\nAbility to design, build, test, deploy, and architect custom AWS cloud applications.\nStrong understanding of Agile and Scaled Agile software delivery practices.\nExcellent communication skills, including the ability to explain technical tradeoffs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nWhat Would Be Nice to Have:\nAWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional.\nAWS Certified Developer – Associate.\nExperience with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, EventBridge, EKS/Kubernetes, RDS PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Memcached, Elasticsearch, Docker, and modern monitoring/observability tools.\nExperience supporting technical proposals, white papers, RFPs/RFIs, or consulting solution architecture efforts.\nExperience with performance tuning, capacity planning, and operational resilience for large-scale distributed systems.\nContributions to open-source projects, technical publications, or cloud-native development thought leadership.\nSystem One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
