This critical role ensures our equipment is delivered safely and efficiently, supporting the seamless operation of our field teams.\n\nPrimary Responsibilities\nConduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to confirm the vehicle’s safe operating condition, and promptly report any maintenance or repair needs.\nSafely drive truck and trailer to move equipment between locations, strictly adhering to all transportation laws, safety regulations, and dispatch instructions.\nOperate equipment as needed to load and unload the trailer at each destination.\nSecure loads to the trailer using chains and binders, ensuring all cargo is properly restrained for transit.\nMonitor vehicle gauges throughout operation, investigate any irregularities, and document issues or required repairs for maintenance staff.\nIdentify and report abnormal operations, equipment failures, defective materials, or hazardous conditions to shop personnel.\nPerform minor field repairs and regular operator maintenance, such as adjusting mirrors or replacing mud flaps, to keep the vehicle in optimal condition.\nTransport materials and equipment as necessary for job completion, or as directed by supervisors.\nKeep the vehicle clean and well-organized inside and out, following all prescribed safety rules and company policies.\nMaintain accurate and up-to-date operator logs, time cards, mileage sheets, repair records, and any required documentation in compliance with company and departmental standards.\nOccasionally perform out-of-town deliveries or equipment pick-ups as needed.\n\nQualifications\nTo excel in this position, candidates must demonstrate the ability to effectively and safely execute all key responsibilities listed above.\n\nKnowledge and Skills\nProficiency with machines, tools, and equipment relevant to the role, including lowboy trucks, trailers, chains, binders, and heavy equipment.\n\nPhysical & Work Environment Requirements\nFrequently required to climb, balance, and perform tasks involving physical agility.\nRegularly sit, climb, and use hand signals or equipment; occasionally stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, or reach above shoulder height.\nLift and move objects weighing up to 25-50 lbs. as needed.\nWork primarily outdoors, often in extreme weather and environmental conditions.\nComfortable working in all weather conditions; exposed to jobsite hazards such as moving machinery, high places, airborne particles, and loud environments.\nMust have specific vision abilities, including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, to operate equipment safely.\nReasonable accommodations provided as necessary to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.\n\nThis position requires attention to detail, a safety-first mindset, and a commitment to keeping equipment moving efficiently and securely.
