Learn more at www.esource.com\n\nAs E Source’s leak detection work has grown significantly over the past several years, our field team has grown right along with it, from just 5 to 6 field technicians in 2022 to 15 today, with continued growth expected. As a Leak Detection Crew Manager, you’ll help manage and support field operations at this new scale. This role is ideal for someone with strong field experience who can build repeatable processes, coach and develop technicians, and bring consistency and quality to a fast-growing team.\n\nIn this role, you will:\n\nLead, supervise, and develop field technicians and crew leaders\n\nConduct performance evaluations, coaching, and training activities\n\nFoster a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to all safety policies and procedures\n\nSupport workforce planning, staffing, and succession development initiatives\n\nDevelop and maintain a scalable training program for new hires\n\nCollaborate with project managers and utility clients to communicate findings and support project execution\n\nMonitor field work quality and establish objective methods for evaluating team performance, accuracy, consistency, and adherence to standards\n\nCoordinate staffing, project assignments, and scheduling across multiple teams and project locations to ensure operational efficiency\n\nOversee vehicle fleet, tool, and equipment inventory, including tracking, maintenance, repairs, and replacements\n\nEvaluate and update existing procedures to support expanded operations with varying scope requirements and a broader client base\n\nReview timesheets, expenses, and travel arrangements to improve cost efficiency, accuracy, and consistency, and help ensure reliable data, reporting, and compliance with company processes\n\nWork primarily during normal business hours, with occasional nights or weekends as needed\n\nTravel throughout the US as needed to support crews across multiple project locations, occasionally for extended periods\n\nStay up to date on technological advancements in the field, with the intent of implementing those advances considered beneficial for E Source\n\nYou’re likely a great fit if you:\n\nHave strong field experience in leak detection or a similar technical discipline, and can accurately assess quality, consistency, and adherence to standards\n\nEnjoy coaching and developing technicians and crew leaders\n\nBring strong organizational skills to manage scheduling and resource coordination across multiple teams and locations\n\nCare about building a strong safety culture\n\nHave strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret field data and translate findings into actionable recommendations\n\nUse data analysis, visualization, and reporting tools such as Microsoft Office, geographic information system (GIS) applications, or similar analytical systems\n\nCommunicate clearly, both verbally and in writing\n\nAre comfortable building new processes and programs from the ground up as a team scales\n\nAre in good physical condition and able to perform strenuous field work in all weather conditions\n\nCan stand or walk for long periods of time\n\nHold a valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record\n\nAre self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently\n\nAre willing and able to travel for extended periods of time\n\nAnd even better if you:\n\nHave experience with water distribution systems, leak detection, water loss management, or utility field operations\n\nHave experience managing field teams through a period of rapid growth\n\nHave experience developing or updating standard operating procedures (SOPs)\n\nHave a plumbing background or experience working with hand tools\n\nHave experience with GIS applications or field data collection tools\n\nExperience and Skills to Qualify Include:\n\nBachelor’s degree in a technical, scientific, or related field\n\nStrong hands-on field experience in leak detection or a closely related technical discipline\n\nExperience supervising or leading field technicians or crews\n\nExperience managing scheduling, staffing, and resource coordination across multiple teams or locations\n\nValid driver’s license with a clean driving record\n\nPhysical capability for strenuous outdoor field work in all weather conditions\n\nAbility to stand or walk for long periods of time\n\nComfort with technology, including tablets and Microsoft Office applications\n\nSelf-motivated with strong organizational and time-management skills\n\nAbility to travel for extended periods of time\n\nDriving Requirements\n\nThis position requires a valid U.S. driver’s license and a clean driving record. A clean driving record is defined as:\n\nNo DUI/DWI or reckless driving convictions within the past 5 years\n\nNo license suspensions or revocations within the past 3 years\n\nNo more than 2 moving violations or 1 at-fault accident in the past 3 years\n\nFinal candidates will be subject to a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check as part of the background screening process.
