Interior Designer II

As an Interior Designer II, you’ll contribute to the planning, design, and documentation of interior environments across a wide range of project types. You’ll work alongside architects, engineers, senior interior designers, and clients to create spaces that are functional, well-coordinated, and thoughtfully detailed.This role offers increasing independence and responsibility while still providing mentorship and support. You’ll be involved in every phase of design—from concept through construction—developing interiors that align with project goals, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.What You’ll DoContribute to interior design development across all project phasesDevelop space plans, finish palettes, and FF&E concepts under the guidance of senior designersParticipate in schematic design, design development, and construction documentationPrepare drawings, specifications, and presentation materials in alignment with firm standardsCoordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and vendors to maintain design intentConduct site visits for field verification, existing conditions documentation, and punch listsReview shop drawings and submittals in support of construction administrationEnsure design solutions comply with applicable codes, ADA requirements, and firm standardsSupport client meetings and assist with presenting design solutionsManage multiple tasks and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and qualityMentor and support junior designers as appropriateStay current with emerging trends, materials, and technologies in interior designWhat Makes SMRT UniqueWe are architects, engineers, planners, interior designers, and problem-solvers who thrive on complexity.
