FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENTThe Department of English at Kingsborough Community College is seeking to hire Adjunct Lecturer, Adjunct Assistant Professor, Adjunct Associate Professor and Adjunct Professor levels to teach English as a Second Language (ESL) courses starting in the fall 2026 semester. Preference will be given to applicants who have both strong credentials and teaching experience.Adjunct faculty perform teaching, research and guidance duties in area(s) of expertise. They share responsibility for committee and department assignments including administrative, supervisory, and other functions.Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.QualificationsFor Adjunct Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor: An earned doctorate in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, Second Language Acquisition, or another appropriate degree is required. Also required is the ability to teach successfully in various instructional modalities.For Adjunct Lecturer: Master's degree in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, Second Language Acquisition, or another appropriate degree is required.
