The Applications Engineering team drives forwards the\ncompany’s mission by designing solutions around, installing and supporting Standard\nBot’s innovative 6 axis robot.\n\nNote: We are unable to offer Visa sponsorship for this role.\n\nAbout the Role:\n\nWe’re looking for seasoned and skilled customer facing problem-solvers to help\narchitect the future of robotics through the design, installation and support of\ninnovative new robotic solutions. As a Applications Engineer you will work with other\nengineers, organizational leaders, sales and customers to design, install and support\nsolutions for our customers in new and exciting robotic applications.\n\nWhat You’ll Do:\n\nPartner with sales and customers to design robotic solutions for novel applications, serving as a trusted technical resource throughout the sales cycle\n\nOwn installations end-to-end — traveling to customer sites to install, program, and validate Standard Bots solutions in the field\n\nCreate technical enablement materials including sample code, application notes, and white papers that help customers get the most out of our platform\n\nCollaborate with in-house engineering to test and refine new features and integrations as our product expands\n\nContribute to marketing efforts by developing collateral that communicates the value of Standard Bots solutions to prospective customers\n\nWhat you'll bring:\n\nTechnical Depth: You have hands-on experience across electrical, software, and mechanical systems — you're comfortable with DC power, understand NPN vs. PNP, can write Python scripts, and can navigate CAD tools like SolidWorks\n\nIndustry Fluency: You have hands-on experience in automotive, manufacturing, or industrial automation environments — you understand the constraints, workflows, and stakeholders that come with deploying technology on a factory floor\n\nOperational Context: You've worked alongside or within production or assembly environments and can speak credibly to customers about cycle times, uptime requirements, safety standards, and integration with existing equipment\n\nGrowth Mindset: You're energized by new domains and challenges, and you pick up context quickly to maximize your impact\n\nClear Communication: You communicate with precision and empathy — in writing, in person, and across technical and non-technical audiences\n\nBias for Impact: You prioritize user outcomes over technical elegance, and you execute with urgency\n\nProactive Simplicity: You default to simple, reliable solutions and proactively flag opportunities to improve on what's proposed or already in place\n\nThrives in Ambiguity: You do your best work in fast-moving, high-expectation environments alongside a diverse team\n\nCompensation and Benefits:\n\nThe salary range for this role is $80,000 to $120,000, depending on experience. We are open to a variety of seniority levels for this role and will build compensation packages that are commensurate with seniority and skill level. Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at Standard Bots. All Full-Time Employees are eligible for Employee Stock Options.
