As well as creating and modifying SOP documents. Taurus Engineering has been in Long Beach for over 50 years and provides submersible cables and connectors for oil companies all over the world.\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\n\nCreate and modify SolidWorks models, assemblies, and drawings.\nCreate and modify Standard Operating Procedures.\nCommunicate effectively with the Engineering and Production departments.\nProvide timely updates for drawing completion and workload.\nOther duties may be assigned.\n\nSupervision Responsibilities:\nNone\n\nOrganizational Responsibilities:\n\nWork interactively with Design Engineering and Production Departments.\nManage workload effectively.\n\nQualification Requirements:\nCertain qualifications must be met for the successful performance of the essential functions of this position. The requirements listed below outline the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the satisfactory performance of this position. Accommodation will be made to aid qualified individuals with disabilities for they to successfully perform the essential requirements.\n\nMinimum Qualifications unique to this position:\n\nSkilled at using SolidWorks within a mechanical design and assembly environment.\nStrong mechanical aptitude and experience with mechanical assemblies.\nAbility to create, read, and understand Engineering drawings.\n\nOverall Qualifications for this position:\n\nVersatility, flexibility, and willingness to work within constantly changing priorities.\nStrong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.\nCommitment to excellence and high standards.\nAble to communicate with all levels of the organization, both verbally and in writing.\nHave a positive attitude and a desire to learn.\n\nPreferred Education and/or Experience:\n\nExperience documenting, creating, and modifying Standard Operating Procedures related to mechanical assemblies.\nAssociates or BS degree in engineering with a focus on mechanical engineering.\nExperience with 3D slicing software.\nExperience with basic machine shop and hand tools, i.e., drill press, mini-lathe, bandsaw, etc.\n\nTravel:\nLimited travel may be required.\n\nComputer Skills:\n\nSolidWorks, with a focus on mechanical assemblies.\nProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.\n\nSafety and Housekeeping:\nAdhere to the company’s safety and housekeeping standards and procedures.\n\nPhysical Demands:\nThe physical demands describe what the employee may be exposed to during the performance of this duty.
