Our Miami location offers a fast-paced production environment where employees play a key role in delivering premium products, all within a supportive and team-driven culture.\nApply to join New Era's team!\n\nThe Embroidery Machine Operator is responsible for operating multiple head machines, creating a variety of logos and decorative designs on customized headwear products. This job takes place in a manufacturing environment.\nResponsibilities\nOperate semiautomatic sewing machine with multiple-sewing heads to embroider names, letters, or decorative designs/logos on fronts, backs, middles, peaks, and other panels\nRead work order to determine type and location of embroidery, as well as thread colors and color sequence needed\nCount parts, check for cloth defects, check for proper taping and cover stitches, and separate parts by sizes\nPlace spools of thread on the required spindle of each sewing head and draw thread through the machine, guides, tensions, and eye of the needle while adjusting thread tension by turning appropriate knobs to the left or right on the front of each sewing head\nPerform regular thread and needle changes, as necessary\nDetermine start/finish point and foam requirements using the tape instruction sheet and tape sample\nRetrieve applicable embroidery file noted on work order and loads it into embroidery machine\nKeep all sensitive matters confidential\nOther duties as assigned\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities\nSewing skills preferred\nEnthusiastic positive person who embraces work with a sense of urgency and persistence\nFunctions as a team player to achieve team goals, objectives, and deadlines\nAble to perform well under pressure and adapt to change easily\nAbility to consistently reach minimum production requirements\nProven attention to detail and accuracy\nSpecific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception\nAbility to perform basic Mathematical skills and ability to read and understand measurements.\nAbility to walk and stand for an 8-hour shifs\nAbility to repetitively lift, carry, and position objects weighing up to 30 lbs\nAble to work overtime, including Saturdays if needed\nAble to wear all necessary personal protective equipment to perform job functions (appropriate footwear)\nEducation and Experience\nExperience in a manufacturing environment preferred\nTravel Requirement\nThe location for this position is 100% on-site in Miami, FL\n0% domestic and/or global\nThe hourly range for this posted position is $15/hr (plus bonus & benefits) and pertains to candidates located in Miami, FL.
