They are highly certified, oversee technical compliance, mentor junior inspectors, and serve as technical liaisons between field operations and project management teams.\nResponsibilities:\n\nConduct complex inspections requiring specialized certifications (e.g., structural steel, welding, masonry, or soil compaction).\nProvide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to junior inspectors and new hires.\nLead quality assurance efforts and ensure documentation meets both company and client requirements.\nAct as a liaison between field operations and project managers or engineers regarding technical issues.\nIdentify and troubleshoot potential project risks or compliance issues, escalating when necessary.\nPrepare and review detailed inspection reports and ensure proper data entry into project tracking systems.\nStay abreast of industry regulations and best practices, maintaining advanced certifications.\nOperate company vehicles and ensure timely documentation of maintenance needs\n\nJob Responsibilities Note:\nThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. UES retains the right to add to or change the duties of the position at any time.\nQualifications:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent; welding certificate or related vocational training.\n5+ years of progressive inspection or materials testing experience.\nAdvanced industry certifications required or preferred (e.g., ACI, ICC, AWS CWI\nValid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.\nExpert knowledge in interpreting complex blueprints, codes, and standards\nStrong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and work independently.\nAbility to work independently with limited supervision\nPreferred Qualifications:\n5+ years experience in inspections\n2+ ICC certifications (e.g., Reinforced Concrete, Pre-Stressed Concrete, Masonry, Soils, and related specialties).\nTravel Requirements:\nThis position requires moderate travel, approximately up to 40% of the time, in support of business\nobjectives and client engagements. Travel may be both scheduled and on short notice, depending on\nproject needs. Destinations typically include job sites, field locations, or regional offices, where work may\nbe conducted in outdoor or operational environments. Adherence to all company safety protocols and\nuse of PPE is required during travel and on-site work.
