In this role, you will develop and optimize processes, lead improvement and capital projects, troubleshoot complex production challenges, and collaborate across functions to deliver safe, efficient, high‑quality results for our customers.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nDevelop and implement new manufacturing processes using leading‑edge technology to support innovation and product development initiatives.\n\nTranslate customer needs into practical product and process solutions that support performance, manufacturability, and quality.\n\nIdentify and lead projects that reduce manufacturing costs, improve process capability, and enhance product quality.\n\nManage process improvement and capital projects from concept through implementation.\n\nParticipate in Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to drive continuous improvement.\n\nIncorporate safety expectations and accountability into process improvements that support a safer work environment.\n\nAdditional Responsibilities\n\nProvide technical and manufacturing support for new products and processes.\n\nTroubleshoot and resolve complex manufacturing issues using a methodical, data‑driven approach.\n\nIdentify, recommend, and implement product and process improvement opportunities.\n\nRecommend and implement enhancements to existing product lines and equipment.\n\nMaximize process efficiency and yield while maintaining product quality and customer satisfaction.\n\nDrive cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.\n\nInterface with customers to resolve complaints and deliver value‑added solutions.\n\nPartner with product development teams to support the transition from development to full‑scale production.\n\nLead or coordinate cross‑functional teams to improve products, processes, and systems.\n\nCoordinate and train production personnel on new trials, products, processes, and procedures.\n\nCollaborate with production management and plant personnel to support a safe, high‑performing production environment.\n\nContribute to long‑term plant and facilities planning initiatives.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Paper Science, or a related field; equivalent experience will also be considered.\n\n3-5 years of process engineering experience preferred; candidates with less experience may also be considered.\n\nStrong understanding of chemistry, materials, and coatings.\n\nDemonstrated ability to apply engineering and scientific principles to solve problems and drive measurable improvements.\n\nAbility to work effectively in a dynamic, team‑oriented environment.\n\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customers, leadership, and production personnel.\n\nBusiness acumen in cost‑benefit analysis, project management, and both strategic and tactical planning.\n\nExperience leading cross‑functional teams to solve complex challenges.\n\nStrong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.\n\nWillingness to travel as needed.\n\nEffective presentation and reporting skills.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nExperience managing technical or capital projects, including budgeting, planning, and execution.\n\nFamiliarity with Lean principles and Kaizen event methodology.\n\nExperience with coating processes, coating formulas, or coating equipment.\n\nExperience conducting design of experiments (DOE) and applying statistical process control (SPC).\n\nEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities\nThis employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
