Administrative Medical AssistantWe are seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized Administrative Medical Assistant to support a fast-paced dermatology practice. This role is critical in managing administrative workflows for five providers, requiring strong multitasking skills, accuracy, and the ability to thrive in a high-volume environment.This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is proactive, dependable, and able to manage complex responsibilities while maintaining excellent patient care and communication.Key ResponsibilitiesPathology ManagementCommunicate pathology results to patients in a timely and professional mannerDocument and mark treatments appropriatelyRequest outside records as neededCoordinate referrals and send certified lettersScheduling CoordinationSchedule all surgical procedures, including excisions and Mohs surgeriesCoordinate additional in-office treatmentsManage scheduling for Photodynamic Therapy (PDT)Handle prior authorizations and medication coordination for PDTBiologics ManagementSubmit and track prior authorizations for biologic medicationsCoordinate patient onboarding with specialty pharmaciesAssist with enrollment forms and financial assistance programsMonitor and manage an active list of biologic patients (currently 145+)Melanoma Program SupportEnsure compliance with MIPS requirementsManage patient recalls and follow-upsCommunicate necessary information to primary care providersCoordinate referrals and treatment schedulingMaintain melanoma registry dataTrack and remind patients due for full skin exams (FSEs)Prior AuthorizationsSubmit and follow up on medication prior authorizationsFax & Document ManagementMonitor incoming faxes throughout the dayRoute and assign tasks for labs, cultures, and other clinical documentsMIPS CoordinationManage all MIPS-related tasks, including annual submissionsQualificationsPrevious experience in a medical office (dermatology experience strongly preferred)Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage high patient volume and multiple provider workflowsStrong communication and follow-up skillsExperience with prior authorizations, referrals, and insurance processes preferredAbility to work independently and prioritize effectivelyWhat We're Looking ForSomeone who thrives in a fast-paced environmentA problem-solver who takes initiativeHighly reliable and accountableStrong team player with a positive, professional attitudeBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee discountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceWork Location: In person
