Hiring by DMG MORI must be made in compliance with applicable regulations.\n\nThe Assembly Manager is tasked to proactively lead and develop the Assembly team. This position's responsibilities encompass planning, instructing, directing, and checking the work of Assembly teams.\n\nEssential Job Functions:\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Responsibilities include up to and are not limited to:\n\nEnsure the quality and delivery of assembly processes\n\nManage assembly rates and register work records correctly\n\nImprove the productivity of the assembly group\n\nEstablish and communicate clear expectations for team members regarding expected productivity results\n\nProvides overall leadership to team including developing, motivating, and leading strong, effective teams.\n\nPrepare and manage daily assembly schedules based on machine status, staff and equipment\n\nObserve and coach employees on proper job related activities and provide timely feedback on necessary action plans\n\nTrain and develop other assemblers on various assembly processes as needed\n\nLead corrective and preventive action plan development and implementation\n\nManage team member working time and reporting requirements and hold performance reviews\n\nImplements new procedures based on production and machine developments and quality requirements\n\nPrecisely assemble mechanical units or fabricated parts at floor stations or bench to make relatively large or heavy subassemblies or complete units using hand tools and light power tools and equipment\n\nFit, align, calibrate, and adjust parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirements\n\nPerform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures\n\nCommunicate and work effectively across multiple teams and departments to achieve production goals\n\nMinimum Requirements:\n\nBachelor's Degree with 5 or more years of related experience\n\n1+ years of experience as a Team Lead\n\nSuccessfully transitioned from engineering work to leading an engineering team\n\nStrong communication and effective supervisory skills\n\nMust be able to manage multiple priorities and easily adapt to changing situations\n\nExperience with precision machine assembly including use of hand/power tools and precision tooling\n\nStrong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems\n\nAbility to assemble sheet metal components, plumbing, motion components, and cast structures\n\nProject scheduling experience\n\nProficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint\n\nWork Environment:\nManufacturing environment (assembly, machining, quality control facility) at DMG MORI Manufacturing.
