We are committed to engineering excellence, operational integrity, and mission-critical reliability.\n\nPosition Summary\n\nAegis Power Systems is seeking a Senior Power Electronics Modeling Engineer to support the development of advanced power conversion systems used in mission-critical applications. Your work will directly impact products deployed around the world where performance, reliability, and quality are critical to success.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nDevelop detailed models of power electronics components, circuits, and converter topologies.\n\nPerform predictive simulations and analyses to evaluate electrical, thermal, and system-level performance.\n\nSupport thermal management analysis and Printed Wiring Board (PWB) EMI layout optimization.\n\nEvaluate and select electronic components for custom power conversion designs.\n\nConduct Sneak Path Analysis to prevent failures and author preventative design guidelines.\n\nCollaborate with electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, quality, and program management teams in gathering model correlation data.\n\nCorrelate simulation results with laboratory testing and real-world hardware performance.\n\nGenerate modeling reports, technical documentation, and simulation artifacts supporting product development.\n\nPresent technical findings and recommendations to engineering teams and company leadership.\n\nDesign and own sub-circuits analysis within larger power conversion systems.\n\nQualifications\n\nBachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering required.\n\nMinimum 10 years of electrical engineering experience.\n\nMinimum 5 years of experience modeling and simulating power electronics systems.\n\nProven experience with power electronics design, analysis, and simulation.\n\nAdvanced proficiency using modeling and simulation tools.\n\nDeep understanding of power electronics, power supplies, and converter topologies.\n\nWorking knowledge of PWB design principles and electronic component selection.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nMaster of Science or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering.\n\nExperience with LTspice, PSIM, and MATLAB/Simulink.\n\nWorking knowledge of Altium Designer.\n\nExperience with thermal analysis, control systems, signal integrity, or power integrity.\n\nExperience in defense, aerospace, military, or other high-reliability electronics environments.\n\nAbility to lead small to medium-sized engineering projects.\n\nBenefits\n\nMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance\n\nHealth Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA)\n\nLife Insurance\n\nSupplemental Benefits\n\nPaid Time Off (PTO)\n\nProfessional Development Assistance\n\nEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)\n\nSEP Retirement Plan\n\nRelocation Assistance\n\nEqual Opportunity Employer\n\nAegis Power Systems, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
