This role supports production goals by operating assigned equipment, loading and unloading materials, monitoring machine performance, and ensuring products meet established quality standards within an ISO 9001 quality management system. The Machine Operator I follows standardized work instructions, maintains a safe and organized work area, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives.\n\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\n\nOperate assigned manufacturing equipment and workstations in accordance with established work instructions, procedures, and safety requirements.\nLoad raw materials, components, and workpieces into machines or fixtures as required.\nMonitor machine operation and product flow to ensure efficient production and adherence to established cycle times and output targets.\nConduct visual inspections of parts and assemblies to verify conformance with quality standards and work instructions.\nIdentify and report product defects, equipment issues, material shortages, or other production concerns to the supervisor.\nComplete required production documentation and transactions within ERP or manufacturing systems to maintain accurate production and inventory records.\nFollow ISO 9001 procedures and documented quality processes to ensure consistency and compliance with customer requirements.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment through daily 6S/housekeeping activities.\nAdhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.\nWork collaboratively with team members, supervisors, quality personnel, and other departments to achieve operational objectives.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n\nEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE\n\nHigh school diploma or GED preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.\nPrevious manufacturing, production, assembly, or machine operation experience preferred but not required.\nAbility to follow written work instructions and standard operating procedures.\nBasic computer skills and ability to enter information into manufacturing or ERP systems.\nBasic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals.\nExperience working in a regulated manufacturing environment is preferred.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\n\nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality.\nAbility to follow safety procedures and work instructions consistently.\nGood communication and problem-solving skills.\nMust be 18 years of age or older.\nMust be authorized to work in the United States.\nAbility to work overtime, weekends, and variable schedules as business needs require.\n\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are represented of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
