The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains – air, land, sea, space and cyber.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nLead strategic projects to develop and optimize software systems for aerospace applications.\nCollaborate with design, hardware, and quality teams to ensure software meets performance and quality standards.\nDevelop and maintain comprehensive software documentation, including design specifications and user manuals.\nMentor and coach junior engineers on best practices and technical skills.\nConduct advanced code reviews and provide constructive feedback.\nDefine and implement software requirements and specifications in collaboration with stakeholders.\nDrive and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance software performance and reliability.\nEnsure software compliance with industry standards and regulations.\n\nQualifications You Must Have:\n\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.\n10+ years of experience in experience in software development.\nHigher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.\nExpert proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Java, or Python.\nDemonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practices.\nExperience working in multi-disciplinary teams.\n\nQualifications We Prefer:\n\nExperience with digital manufacturing and Industry 4.0 technologies.\nExperience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded systems.\nExtensive background in Aerospace and Defense industry.\nUnderstanding of industry standard software languages such as C, C#, C++, HTML, Java, Python, and Bash.\nExperience with software tools for requirements tracking, code reviews, static analysis, library and artifact repository, and automated build.\nKnowledge of software development methodologies such as Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, and Spiral.\nProficient with data structures.\n\nEssential Functions:\n\nAbility to work on a computer for extended periods.\nHand/finger dexterity for coding and testing.\nAbility to work in a hybrid environment with occasional travel.\n\nThis posting will be open for application for a minimum of 5 days and may be extended based on business needs.\n\nEstimated Starting Salary Range: $143,487.14 - $197,294.82. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
