{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"cd4e3cb519751f55042fe2f8","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/cd4e3cb519751f55042fe2f8","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/cd4e3cb519751f55042fe2f8","title":"Operating Room Materials Manager","description":"Operating Room Materials Manager\n\nThis role is onsite 5 days a week.\nWhat you will be doing:\nReporting to the Director, Management Services, the Operating Room Materials Manager will be responsible for managing, implementing, measuring, and directing all Supply Chain related activities within the Operating Room and Procedural areas.\nKey Responsibilities\nResponsibility #1 – Perioperative and Procedural Inventory Management - 60%\nDay to day Supply Chain Operations within the Operating Room (OR) and Procedural to include requisitioning, inventory and delivery of all O.R. supplies.\nEnsure goods and services are ordered in a timely manner by processing requisitions, confirming price and shipping terms, delivery date and order.\nCommunicate daily with surgical staff, scheduler, surgery management, vendors, and physicians to ensure availability of supplies for scheduled cases.\nIs knowledgeable of contracts and communicates with vendors assuring adherence to current contractual pricing.\nMaintain and update materials management records to ensure proper purchase order, price, quantity, vendor, and receipt information is entered for all supplies ordered.\nWork with accounts payable to reconcile inquiries regarding questions on invoices, purchase orders and received supplies.\nReceives supplies; stocks and delivers to proper areas and keeps storage areas clean and orderly.\nWork closely with Materials Management staff for shipping repairs and returns to vendors, completes proper credit or return paperwork.\nMaintain appropriate documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.\nWork to resolve issues re: backorders, out-of-stock items, returns, price changes, substitutions, and other related Materials Management issues.\nResponsibility #2 – Management - 25%\nManage the OR Supply Chain Technician.\nOversee physical inventory count at various times during the fiscal year and at year-end.\nServe as liaison between the Operating Room staff/management and the Materials Management staff/management.\nResponsibility #3 – Inventory Analytics - 15%\nConduct analysis of top cost items with purpose of cost reduction\nEstablish par levels for all supplies and requisitions inventory through the purchasing IS system.\nMake recommendations for new product and capital purchase projects.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nWork Experience:\nYears of Applicable Experience - 5 or more years\nEducation:\nHigh School Diploma or GED (Required)\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nSkills:\nOrganization\nCustomer Service\nInventory Management (OR, IR, Cath Lab, EP)\nAnalytics\nExperience:\nGraduate from Surgical Technology program and/or Clinical training.\n3+ years' experience in medical purchasing/materials management/surgical environment\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree\n\nAdditional Job Requirements:\nRemain in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time\nBe adaptive and change priorities quickly; meet deadlines\nAttention to detail\nOperate computer programs and software\nAbility to communicate effectively with audiences in person and in electronic formats.\nDay-to-day contact with others (co-workers and/or the public)\nMaking independent decisions\nAbility to work in a collaborative business environment in close quarters with peers and varying interruptions\n\nWorking Conditions: Hospital Environment\n\nTravel Requirements: No travel required\n\nPhysical Demands: Medium: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.\n\nPremier’s compensation philosophy is to ensure that compensation is reasonable, equitable, and competitive in order to attract and retain talented and highly skilled employees. Premier’s internal salary range for this role is $72,000 - $120,000. Final salary is dependent upon several market factors including, but not limited to, departmental budgets, internal equity, education, unique skills/experience, and geographic location.
