They may also be responsible for resolving warranty and non-warranty repairs to damaged products. Performs duties under the direction of the Maintenance Manager and Leads.\r\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\r\nEnsures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.\r\nLocates sources of problems by observing mechanical and electrical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.\r\nRemoves defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.\r\nDetermines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.\r\nAdjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.\r\nControls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.\r\nFabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.\r\nMaintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.\r\nConserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.\r\nProvides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.\r\nPrepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.\r\nMaintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks.\r\nMaintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.\r\nMaintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.\r\nContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.\r\nPerforms building, lighting, and plumping repairs for Facility as needed.\r\nOther duties may be assigned\r\nSome positions may:\r\nConduct service/repairs, assist with warranty issues, and file warranty reports with vendors.\r\nProvide on-site assistance to help troubleshoot and repair product and/or equipment.\r\nPlan and coordinate activities concerned with investigating and resolving customer reports of problems.\r\nReview performance reports and documentation from customers and sales representatives and inspect malfunctioning or damaged product to determine nature and scope of problem.\r\nAnalyze review and inspection findings to determine source of problem, and recommend repair, replacement, or other corrective action.\r\nMaintain high accuracy in performing service work on product per work order specifications.\r\nProvide a communication link between the customer and the Company to help ensure that effective service is provided to the customer.\r\nBack up other maintenance technicians as needed.\r\nInform supervisor of any shortages in stock, or of any malfunctions or damage to equipment or vehicles.\r\nHelp load trucks for delivery and assist in unloading incoming trucks.\r\nRestock incoming supplies, keep tools and machinery clean and maintained, and is responsible for all tools assigned to truck.\r\nMaintain truck by keeping it clean and organized. Check fluids and tire pressure daily.\r\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES\r\nThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.\r\nMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS\r\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The ability to print and speak simple sentences.\r\nReasoning Ability-Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
