The work of a Corporate Controller is strategic, influential, and ever evolving.\n\nWHO WE ARE:\n\n• Leader in food safety solutions for both contract sanitation and chemistry in the food processing industry.\n\n• Over 10,000 dedicated team members across North America.\n\n• Corporate headquarters in Atlanta, GA with team members working in over 250 plants throughout North America.\n\n• Over 50+ years of experience in creating long-lasting partnerships.\n\nOUR MISSION:\n\nWe protect the food supply by eliminating risks so families everywhere can eat without fear.\n\nProtect What Matters: We are in service of safety at every step, ensuring the health of everyone is central to all we do – from plant team members to consumers.\n\nDeliver On Our Promises: We speak honestly and are dedicated to doing the right thing by upholding ethical standards and following through on our commitments to our teams, our customers, and our business.\n\nWin as a Team: We believe in the power of collaboration, uniting our diverse strengths while working hand-in-hand with our team members and customers to unlock potential and achieve stronger results together.\n\nAdvance a Safer Future: We are committed to innovating more effective, sustainable, and cost-efficient food safety solutions to develop a safer world for all.\nJOB DESCRIPTION\n\nWHAT YOU WILL DO:\n\nIn addition to setting the strategic direction for the Controllership function and leading a team of ~20 accountants, the successful candidate will also be responsible for the following:\n\nMaintain strong controls and accounting policies while adapting to changing circumstances; develop, implement, and document procedures to maximize the cash conversion cycle.\nLead the Treasury, daily cash management, and banking activity for the company and related compliance with the support of Senior Management, continue the culture of continuous improvement by maintaining a list of short, medium, and long-term improvement goals and utilize those goals to further develop and improve accounting department processes to improve efficiency, reduce cycle time/errors, and overall improve timeliness of accounting functions.\nLead the accounting department to completion of the annual audit process, tax returns, and other regulatory compliances reports including the timely filing of K-1s, sales/use tax returns, property tax renditions, and the filing of related property and other taxes with support from outside CPAs.\nEnsure the department maintains accurate and timely delivery of financial statements and related analysis, including identifying, escalating, resolving, and documenting any accounting issues.\nManage the department to ensure all financial impact transactions are performed timely and accurately, including monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts (assessed for recoverability and completeness).\nBe the subject matter expert and the accounting/finance leader on the cross-functional M&A integration team.\nDevelop and ensure effective internal controls are operative to verify the reliability of the financial reporting system.\nManage the full implementation and management of Microsoft AX365 accounting ERP and provide leadership to the emerging data insights teams.\nResponsible for the weekly, monthly, and annual closing processes, including managing the external audit and tax (direct and indirect) return processes.\nWork closely with the CFO and Corporate FP&A team to provide financial results analysis (including reports for inclusion in the Board packs to shareholders).\nOther duties as assigned.\n\n YOUR MUST HAVES:\n\nMust be 18 years of age or older.\nGrowth mindset, demonstrating strong interpersonal, communication, organizational and prioritization skills. Highly ethical, confidential, credible, with clean financial and background history.\nConscientious about timeliness of assignments and quality of work product.\nAccountable for specific performance of self as well as the accounting team.\nDetail oriented with a strong comprehension of account relationships and reconciliations per GAAP.\nExperience and proficiency with AX 365 (or SAP/Oracle) and an ability to follow the impact of a transaction as it flows through the financials and be able to articulate and understand the full upstream and downstream effects of any accounting decision.\nExperience working through an ERP transition, build-out, or implementation.\nStrong knowledge of and experience with US GAAP and financial reporting in a service, manufacturing, or technology environment.\nBachelor’s and/or master’s degree in business, Accounting, Economics, or related fields.\nC.P.A. required with Big 4 public accounting experience highly desired.\n10 or more years of experience in the accounting and finance sector.\n3 or more years of experience managing accountants and the accounting and finance process.\n2 or more years of experience in a position equivalent to controller responsibility.\nAbility to travel as required.\n\nWHAT WE PREFER YOU HAVE:\n\nPrior experience with mergers and acquisitions (M&A) highly desired.\nExperience with private equity a plus.\n\nOUR ENVIRONMENT:\n\nThis position is a hybrid position based, in part, in the Corporate Headquarters consisting of a traditional office setting and a combination of your professional home office.
