This role is responsible for processing, analyzing, and managing LiDAR datasets to support surveying, engineering, construction, and mapping projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in point cloud processing, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a production-driven environment.\r\nKey Responsibilities:\r\nProcess raw LiDAR data (LAS/LAZ files) into usable deliverables\r\nPerform point cloud classification (ground, vegetation, structures, utilities, etc.)\r\nGenerate Digital Elevation Models (DEM), Digital Terrain Models (DTM), and contours\r\nConduct quality control and quality assurance checks on LiDAR datasets\r\nAlign, calibrate, and register point clouds from multiple sources\r\nExtract features such as breaklines, buildings, and infrastructure\r\nWork with aerial and mobile LiDAR systems\r\nIntegrate LiDAR data with GIS and CAD platforms\r\nTroubleshoot processing issues and improve workflows\r\nMaintain organized project files and documentation - Collaborate with surveyors, engineers, and GIS professionals\r\nQualifications:\r\nAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics, Surveying, GIS, or related field (preferred)\r\n2+ years of experience processing LiDAR data\r\nProficiency with software such as DJI Terra, Trimble Business Center, Cyclone, etc.\r\nStrong understanding of coordinate systems and geospatial concepts\r\nExperience with CAD (AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and GIS platforms\r\nAbility to interpret survey data and field notes\r\nStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skills - Ability to meet deadlines in a production environment\r\nExperience with UAV/drone LiDAR data processing (preferred)\r\nKnowledge of scripting (Python or similar) (preferred)\r\nFamiliarity with photogrammetry workflows (preferred)\r\nExperience with mobile LiDAR systems (preferred)\r\nUnderstanding of surveying principles and workflows (preferred)\r\n\"We are an equal opportunity employer committed to employment equity utilizing hiring practices on merit and business needs.
