GPC offers very competitive starting wages, performance based increases and an exceptional benefits package, including health, dental and PTO.\nPOSITION SUMMARY:\nThe Support Services position includes job duties that support production and maintenance at Grain Processing Corporation in Washington, IN.\nPRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:\nOperate railcar-moving equipment and initiate the safe placement of railcars within plant property.\nLoad and unload product or material into railcars or trucks and completion of accompanying paperwork or computer entry.\nTransload (move from one mode of transportation to another) product and all required paperwork or data entry completed. Inspect and operate powered industrial moving equipment used on the job (i.e. lull, track mobile, various loaders, forklift).\nPerform technical weighing, sampling and sealing of product into railcars or trucks for shipment.\nOperate equipment to reclaim and rework feed product.\nUse computer to communicate and record job related information (i.e. shift log, inventory log, rates notes, email, work order requests, housekeeping logs, etc.).\nChange filtering material, washing of baskets, and washing of filtration or separation screens.\nPrepare and transfer (by rigging and lifting) materials or equipment to various locations at the plant.\nFollow safety policy and procedure in doing all job functions.\nFollow plant policy and guidelines (as identified by SOP’s or the handbook).\nTrain new employees on job tasks as needed.\nAssist process or packaging operators with workload when necessary.\nCleaning and clearing roads and entryways in and around all plant facilities during all seasons.\nMowing in and around plant facilities and spraying weeds as needed.\nAll other duties as assigned.\nEXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:\nComputer proficiency\nDecision making and ability to prioritize tasks\nSelf-motivated; must be able to work with minimal supervision\nAbility to Speak, read, and write English\nNon-climate controlled environment\nWork 12 hour shift operation – rotate from days to nights (or nights to days) every two weeks, including weekends and holidays\nMust be able to climb ladders and stairs and work at heights\nMust be able to work in confined spaces\nMust be able to wear personal protective equipment (including respirator)\nMust be able to lift up to 55 lbs.\nEDUCATION:\nHigh School diploma or GED\nADDITIONAL INFO:\nSmoke and tobacco free workplace\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nThis employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
