Diesel Mechanic

Job DescriptionDiesel Mechanic Location: Livonia, MI Shift 7am-3pm Monday-Friday $30-$35 per hour BOE About the RoleCardinal Staffing Services is seeking a skilled and dependable Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Livonia. In this hands-on role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines and heavy-duty equipment. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems Perform routine and preventative maintenance, including oil changes and filter replacements Inspect vehicles and equipment to identify mechanical issues Use diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot problems Complete work orders accurately and efficiently Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Follow all shop procedures and OSHA safety guidelines Communicate clearly with service advisors and team members regarding repair status Perform additional related duties as assigned Qualifications 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience preferred Strong knowledge of diesel engines and heavy-duty truck/equipment systems Proficient with diagnostic tools and repair equipment Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a physically demanding environment Dependable, detail-oriented, and team-focused Valid driver's license required (CDL preferred but not required) ASE Certification is a plus About Cardinal Staffing At Cardinal Staffing, we are dedicated to helping individuals unlock their career potential through meaningful job opportunities.
