The Underground Foreman will oversee laborers and equipment operators while supporting underground utility installation, fiber work, excavation, boring, trenching, and related construction activities.What You’ll DoLead and supervise underground utility crewsCoordinate daily work assignments and keep production movingRead and interpret prints, project plans, utility maps, and work ordersOversee underground fiber installation, conduit placement, boring, trenching, and excavation workOperate or work around equipment such as excavators, plows, trenchers, boring machines, and backhoesConduct daily safety talks and make sure crews follow OSHA, DOT, and company safety proceduresIdentify jobsite hazards and help prevent damages or safety issuesInspect completed work for quality and accuracyTrack daily progress through photos, reports, and field logsCommunicate with supervisors, inspectors, subcontractors, utility reps, and property owners as neededWhat We’re Looking For3+ years of utility construction experience1+ year in a foreman, lead, or supervisory roleStrong underground construction knowledgeAbility to read prints, maps, and as-builtsExperience with fiber optic construction preferredCDL preferredOSHA 10/30 preferredStrong communication and leadership skillsAbility to solve problems in the field and keep the crew movingMust be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background checkWork EnvironmentThis is an outdoor field position. Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions, around heavy equipment, open trenches, traffic, mud, dust, and active construction sites.
