Performing routine manual work in the collection of solid waste, yard waste, bulky items, recycling items, clean-up of illegal dump sites and environmental clean-up. Drives and operates refuse trucks through residential areas. Employees are expected to walk extended distances in collection of solid waste and recyclables. This position is responsible for the pick-up of trash from homes and businesses within the boundaries of the reservation. Loads trucks with refuse items and helps dispose of all items.COMPENSATION: $21.43 hr.Minimum Required EducationHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.Minimum Related ExperienceSix (6) months of experience working with various heavy/light equipment and trucks preferredRequired Licenses/Certifications/PrerequisitesWA State Driver’s LicenseMust adhere to the Motor Vehicle Regulation. (Abstract Required)WA State Class A or B Commercial Driver License *Will allow one (1) year to obtainMust complete an Agility exam to determine if physically capable of performing the job.Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check.TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This is a regular full-time position.
