As a full stack Java Application developer of the Business Systems Development team, you will participate in designing, developing and implementing exchange systems that directly support trading, help desk, surveillance, clearing, business intelligence, finance and other complex middle and back office operational systems.\nStrong written and oral communication skills are essential and candidates should be self-directed and motivated to work in a fast paced, team-oriented environment.\nSummary of Key responsibilities include:\nAnalysis and assessment of business and system requirements in direct collaboration with business users covering a variety of functional disciplines\nHands-on application development (this is a coding position, candidates should have a strong desire to be in-the-code) of high-quality, performant and feature rich web applications that provide first-class operational capabilities to the MIAX Exchange Group\nDefine the back-end REST APIs for the features of the services being built.\nWrite unit, integration and end-to-end tests and work with the team for defining test cases.\nOrganizational Structure\nThe Application Developer will report directly to the Sr. VP of Business Systems Development.\nQualifications\nExpert in core Java and JEE technologies\nDeep understanding of web application architecture and design principles\nMust have in-depth knowledge of one or more application frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring MVC and Spring Web Flux\nStrong experience with web development tools and languages such as Angular, HTML5, CSS and Javascript\nStrong database design and SQL expertise\nExperience with Linux and shell scripting\nExperience with CI/CD practices.\nExperience with Container technologies (Docker & Kubernetes) a plus.\nExperience with Cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud a plus.\nWell versed in industry standard architecture design methodologies and processes\nStrong written and oral communication skills\nSelf-directed and motivated to work in a fast paced team-oriented environment\nEducation and Experience\nMinimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Engineering.\n5+ or more years of experience using Java technologies to build large-scale business applications.\nFinancial industry experience is a plus.\nThe anticipated annualized base pay range for this position is $120,000 - $170,000. Actual initial base salary will be determined based on factors that may include qualifications, experience, and/or geography.
