In this role, you will gain hands-on experience supporting clients in lobbying and campaign finance compliance while also coworking on legislative and regulatory issues of importance to our clients, including environmental, retail, transportation, and energy issues, among others.\nAssociates are expected to become proficient across MultiState’s full range of solutions, working across teams to develop a strong foundation in Compliance, Issue Management, Lobbying, and Strategic Government Relations. The Associate will track state legislation, regulations, and issue trends, research and analyze various policy trends, and draft supporting materials for both internal use and client-facing needs.\nAs an Associate, you will:\nDevelop and maintain expertise of state and local lobbying compliance rules and form management in assigned jurisdictions.\nPrepare and file state and local lobbying and campaign finance registration and reports.\nDraft legislative and regulatory summaries, issue trend reports, blog posts, and analyses on state policy developments for clients and external audiences.\nConduct compliance and policy research and analysis to keep clients informed on key issues.\nIdentify, analyze, and track state legislation and regulations, as well as issue trends related to client concerns.\nSupport clients, lobbyists, and team members on special projects as needed to support firm-wide goals.\nTo be successful, you will need Understand state and legislative regulatory processes\nHave demonstrated strong research skills and outstanding written communication skills\nBe a strong team player\nTake initiative and thrive in a fast-paced environment without daily, detailed direction\nProven ability to operate with integrity and ethics, and maintain the highest standards of confidentiality\nHigh level of detail and demonstrated work output with little/no errors\nSense of urgency; willingness and ability to meet and exceed established deadlines\nOrganizational agility\nWe prefer that you have Working knowledge of state political processes and government relations.\nStatutory research experience\nBachelor’s degree from an accredited university\nWhat We Offer Unlimited PTO policy\nCoverage options for employees and families Medical/Dental/Vision insurance, including HSA option\n12 weeks paid Maternity leave\n401K plan with traditional and Roth options\nOpportunities to enroll in Flexible Spending accounts and Commuting accounts\nCompany paid basic life insurance of $50,000, long-term disability, and short-term disability coverage\nCompany paid access to a wide range of health and well-being resources and services including telephonic counseling, legal advice, and other services\nAdditional Information While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to sit, walk, and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to handle, feel, or operate standardofficeequipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 25 pounds.
