HVAC Service Operations Manager
We are a national mechanical, electrical, plumbing, building automation systems, and service contractor. We provide comprehensive design and build solutions for customers across the United States and hold engineering and construction registrations, licenses, and certifications in more than 30 states.
Role Summary
Lead commercial HVAC startup and service operations for large-scale construction and renovation projects. Build a high-performing team, deliver exceptional customer satisfaction, and achieve schedule, cost, and quality targets. You own dispatch, onboarding, weekly scheduling, and field coordination while serving as the escalation point for callbacks.
Key Responsibilities
Recruit, onboard, and develop technicians and dispatch staff
Dispatch service calls, plan weekly activity, and balance manpower to budget
Coordinate startup schedules with Project Managers and align BMS startup with Controls Engineers
Track performance, conduct annual reviews with Director approval, and manage labor and material costs
Ensure SLA compliance, documentation quality, and use of company systems
Maintain customer relationships and communicate clearly with field teams, PMs, Director, and Engineers
Drive safety, quality, and continuous improvement across all commercial HVAC operations
Qualifications
5 plus years field HVAC technical experience and people leadership
Technical background in HVAC systems, controls, or building management systems
Strong technical knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, controls, and building automation
High urgency problem solving, excellent written and oral communication
Proficiency with Excel, Procore, and Building Management Systems
Proven organization, multitasking, and deadline execution
Ability to build client rapport and a record of results
Physical and Travel
Regular field activity including standing, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Ability to work from lifts and scaffolding. Valid driver’s license. Travel up to 50 percent.
