Atwell is a privately owned company with 2,000+ passionate team members across 75+ locations and growing.\nJob Summary Responsible for land development, residential, industrial, retail, mixed‑use, healthcare, educational and recreational design technical tasks including, but not limited to: conceptual site layout; utility design; roadway design; site grading design; soil erosion and sedimentation control design; floodplain studies; providing permitting and entitlement support; preparation of engineer’s opinions of probable cost; assistance with preparation of proposals; and construction support.\nAccountability and Duties Prepares engineer’s opinion of probable cost\nPrepares design calculations\nMaintains a good relationship with clients\nPrepares permit applications for applicable municipal agencies\nResponsible for preparation of feasibility studies, master planning and engineering, design of water, sanitary and storm sewer, paving and detention facilities\nAssists in preparation of proposals for engineering services\nReviews and prepares project specifications\nAssists in production of final construction drawings\nMentors and assists with training Civil Engineers\nDelegates specific project components to Civil Engineers\nWorks closely with other disciplines on multi‑discipline projects\nResponsible for project schedules and time completion of projects\nParticipates in business development activities\nProfessionally represents the firm at client and municipal meetings/hearings\nPrepares and monitors project budgets, billing and assists with A/R\nPerforms other duties incidental to the work described herein\nRequired Certificates, Licenses, Registration PE license required\nValid driver’s license\nQualification Requirements 6+ years of experience\nAutoCAD Civil 3D experience\nEducation and/or Experience Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited four‑year college or university\nRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions\nAbility to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables\nOutstanding writing, communications and interpersonal skills\nProficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office\nMust be fluent in the English language\nPhysical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
