This position supports fabrication and material processing operations by ensuring materials are accurately cut to specifications while maintaining a safe work environment.\n\nEssential Duties:\n\nOperate hand-held gas cutting torches to cut pipe, fittings, and related materials.\n\nRemove ends from various sizes and types of pipe according to project requirements.\n\nMeasure and mark materials for accurate cuts.\n\nInspect materials before and after cutting to ensure quality standards are met.\n\nMaintain cutting equipment and report any operational issues.\n\nFollow all safety procedures and company policies while performing cutting operations.\n\nKeep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.\n\nAssist with material handling, loading, unloading, and shop support activities as needed.\n\nWork closely with supervisors and team members to meet production schedules.\n\nRequirements/Skills:\n\nPrevious experience as a Burn Operator, Torch Cutter, or similar role.\n\nProficiency using hand-held gas cutting torches.\n\nAbility to read and interpret work instructions, measurements, and specifications.\n\nKnowledge of safe torch-cutting practices and equipment operation.\n\nAbility to identify different pipe sizes and fittings.\n\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.\n\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\n\nReliable attendance and strong work ethic.\n\nAbility to follow verbal and written instructions.\n\nPhysical Requirements:\n\nAbility to stand and walk for extended periods.\n\nFrequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.\n\nAbility to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as required.\n\nMust be able to work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.\n\nAbility to safely use personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, safety glasses, hard hats, and steel-toe boots.\n\nMust have sufficient vision and dexterity to safely operate cutting equipment and handle materials.\n\nEqual Opportunity Statement:\nFlexicrew Technical Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer; employment with FTS is governed on the basis of merit, competence, and qualifications.
